Chinese Medicine & Acupuncture services are provided by Andreas Feyler.  Andreas is an experienced practitioner of Traditional Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine, offering the treatment modalities of classical needle acupuncture, auricular and electro-acupuncture, moxibustion, cupping, acupressure, Chinese massage (tuina), raw herb and powder prescriptions, as well as Chinese dietary and lifestyle advice.

Andreas holds a Bachelor’s of Applied Science Degree in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia, linked to the Doctorate in Traditional Chinese Medicine Program from the Nanjing University of TCM in Nanjing, China. This five year degree course included all the traditional subjects associated with the training a TCM doctor would undertake in China.
Andreas completed his clinical training in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine at the First Affiliated Hospital of TCM in Nanjing, China in 1999 and has practiced in busy clinics in NW England since 2000 and has also completed further post-graduate training in sports injuries, gynaecology and IVF support, pregnancy and labour support, anxiety and psychological disturbances.
He is a member of the British Acupuncture Council (BAcC), the Association of Traditional Chinese Medicine (ATCM) and a member of the Register of Chinese Herbal Medicine (RCHM).

Andreas believes that the mind and body are linked.  Focusing on strengthening the ability of the body to fight illness and imbalance. The concept of treating the person as a whole by considering their own individual circumstances forms the basis of his therapeutic aim.  Addressing the root causes of illnesses by considering previous and family medical history, social and emotional context of suffering, as well as previous and concurrent other treatments received.  Therapies have been applied to many conditions for thousands of years in China and numerous other countries, and are gaining much greater acceptance within the orthodox medical community.

Western medicine has made great advances in recent decades and is very good at treating many serious and often acute medical conditions. Andreas always aims to refer conditions that are beyond his scope of practice and work closely with private GPs, counsellors, osteopaths, physiotherapist, reflexologists, nutritionists and many other allied health professionals. Andreas therapies have a lot to offer, particularly in stubborn and chronic imbalances.

Dealing with most concerns and issues associated with ill health, Andreas professional bodies maintain a current and updated list of medical conditions that have been proven in clinical trials to respond very well to these treatment modalities.
