Mudrasana Yoga – Sherry Edwards

The practice of yoga has been followed for thousands of years.  Although many modern interpretations may have drifted from their original roots, the fundamental philosophies behind them still remain the same: to achieve unity or balance between the body and mind.
There are various reasons why people may take up this ancient practice – whether it be a search for inner peace, a need to mend an injury or the pursuit of improved physical fitness, yoga can satisfy all of these requirements. 
Yoga can be accessible to anyone regardless of age, fitness or previous experience.  It can be tailored to fit any lifestyle, as it does not require any complicated equipment beyond a simple rubber mat and can be practised for anything from five minutes to over two hours in an area not much greater than the mat itself.
